Some of the God of War III footage Sony showed during its Game Developers Conference 2009 has been leaked and is now available on the internet. Just a minute ago we reported that there were some more God of War III release date rumors.
It looks like Sony wants to release God of War III in its current financial year, so that means that we should be seeing it before March 2010. Most God of War games were released at the beginning of the year in Europe, so that would mean that God of War 3 will come out in February/March 2010. The Portugese version of Official PlayStation Magazine (OPM) reports that God of War III will come out in Autumn 2009 in Europe. Sony will announce the God of War III release date info during its E3 press conference.

Analist Nick Williams expects a lot from God of War III. In his article at Gamasutra he says that ‘only’ two third of the people who want to purchase God of War III have a PlayStation 3, and that could be a problem fro the game. Not all people who really want to play God of War 3 will purchase a PS3 just to be able to play the game. Following up on the God of War III release date rumors Williams says that he expects God of War 3 to come out by the end of this year or early 2010. He says that Sony should drop the price of the PS3 by the time that God of War III comes out.

Retailers including Play.com have given a release date for God of War III for PlayStation 3. Play.com gave the game a release for late September, namely September 25th of this year. A Dutch retailer also mentioned late September as the release date for GoW III but Sony is keeping its mouth shut about the God of War 3 release date. A while ago they said they will announce the God of War III release date during E3.
